Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Swift River Reservation and our Beatle themed caches.  Pay attention to the waypoints provided. There's enough off street parking for several vehicles.  Follow the main path beyond the gate straight on into the reservation.  This cache is placed along the red trail.  The red trail actually runs the perimeter and is labeled as an "other trail on the kiosk map.  Follow the main path straight until the foundation on your left and a split in the trail. You can either continue bearing right up the old cart path or bear left towards our other waypoint, and then follow the red trail from there.  The trail is a loop, bearing right has an initial long uphill hike, bearing left has a shorter yet more aggressive trek up hill.  The portion in between is a long gentle flat walk in the shade.

We placed this cache here because she said it was a nice spot on the trail, near to some erratics, a stone wall and some shady forest. The cache is small and definitely winter friendly.  We tried mixing up the containers and hiding styles to keep things interesting.  We rated this a three in terrain since the trail varies so much depending on which direction you come.  Cell service can be very iffy in here so be patient and you should have no problems.

She Said She Said was released in 1966 on the Revolver album. The Beatles were maturing and experimenting more with their songwriting at this time and Revolver is a good example of this growth.  This catchy upbeat tune easily gets stuck in your head and you'll find yourself humming aong well after listening to it.  If anyone asks you can say, "It's written by John, about a dinner party he went to with his dentist, Peter Fonda, their wives and others.  The Dentist gave them all acid to enjoy after the meal, and poor Peter Fonda kept telling John he knew what it was like to be dead. In the process giving John inspiration for the song."
