Follow the main path from the gate until you arrive at the foundation and split in the trail. Bearing right, away from waypoint, follows an old cart path uphill for a steady gain for almost .4 tenths of a mile, then turns and flattens out nicely. Bearing left at the split towards the way point will bring you to another cart path leading up into the tree line on your right. This is a shorter uphill trek towards the same goal.
