This cache is placed to bring more caches to our town and neighborhood! It is located just off the Horned Owl trail in Hickory Woods. These trails do not have official designated parking areas (they are used mostly by nearby residents). However you can reach the trails via Wildwood Rd., Island Rd., Lunenburg Town Forest, or Lane Conservation Area. Please enjoy this beautiful area and cache in and trash out. Dogs should be LEASHED, and carry out any dog waste with you. Not much room for tradeables, but there is a pen.

Residents of Hickory Hills mounted a fundraising campaign to acquire this property years ago to protect the watershed, and it was recently made public. It connects to Lunenburg Town Forest and Lane Conservation Area. There are no parking areas within Hickory Hills (the official trailhead is off of Island Rd.) but Wildwood Rd. is a great access point.
For a much longer hike, you can also access this via The Lane Conservation Area, where there is a good parking area and many beautiful trails that run along Mulpus Brook. The best trail maps are available at Alltrails.com, or in Geocaching premium. You can also use Lunenburg's trail system map or Hickory Hills' trail map, though the latter has not been updated yet to include the land and trail from Wildwood Rd. Hickory Hills is a private lake and is managed by the homeowners association and many, many volunteers.
