Geocache Description:

This cache is placed to add a few more to Lunenburg! BYOP. You will need to find a tool nearby to access the cache - don't worry there are plenty. From this location, you can't see many stars, but likely the giant you are looking for can.

This cache is located on the Snowmobile Trail in Hickory Woods. Please keep your dogs leashed and clean up after them. Cache in and trash out. These trails are well-loved and taken care of us - help us keep them that way!

Congrats to TnV2004 and Bill the Cat 89 for the co-FTF!

Residents of Hickory Hills mounted a fundraising campaign to acquire this property years ago to protect the watershed, and it was recently made public. It connects to Lunenburg Town Forest and Lane Conservation Area. There are no parking areas within Hickory Hills (the official trailhead is off of Island Rd.) but the Wildwood Rd. entrance is a great access point.

For a much longer hike, you can also access this via The Lane Conservation Area, where there is a good parking area and many beautiful trails that run along Mulpus Brook. The best trail maps are available at Alltrails.com, or in Geocaching premium. You can also use Lunenburg's trail system map or Hickory Hills' trail map, though the latter has not been updated to include the land and trail from Wildwood Rd. Hickory Hills is a private lake and is managed by the homeowners association and many, many volunteers.
