SK: Terchová je obec na severe Slovenska v okrese Žilina. Je typickou kopaničiarskou obcou s veľkým počtom osád. Svojou geografickou polohou je známa ako turistické centrum Malej Fatry a kultúrna oblasť Žilinského regiónu s pravidelnými podujatiami.
Obec sa nachádza medzi Krivánskou Fatrou a Kysuckou vrchovinou na severe Žilinskej kotliny. Centrom obce preteká rieka Varínka. Tvorí vstup do Vrátnej doliny. Nachádza sa tu až 68 osád.
Prvá písomná zmienka o obci je z roku 1580, kedy patrila panstvu Strečno-Gbeľany.
Obec je známa hlavne svojou kultúrnou tradíciou a ako stredisko cestovného ruchu. Od začiatku 60. rokov sa každoročne koná kultúrny festival Jánošíkove dni. Z podujatí sú známe napríklad Cyrilometodské dni, Country fest Rozmarín, Budzogáň a ďalšie.
Našimi nenáročnými potulkami objavujeme krásy tunajšej prírody, vychutnávame výhľady a zákutia Malej Fatry, o ktoré sa chceme podeliť aj s vami. Vytvárame preto sériu kešiek situovaných na miestach, ktoré nás niečím oslovili. Veríme, že rovnako zaujmú a potešia aj vás.

Terchová is a village in northern Slovakia in the district of Žilina. It is a typical village with a large number of settlements. Due to its geographical location, it is known as the tourist center of Mala Fatra and the cultural area of the Žilina region with regular events.
The village is located between Krivánská Fatra and Kysucká vrchovina in the north of the Žilina basin. The river Varínka flows through the center of the village. It forms the entrance to the Vrátna valley. There are up to 68 settlements.
The first written mention of the village is from 1580, when it belonged to the manor Strečno-Gbeľany.
The village is known mainly for its cultural tradition and as a center of tourism. Since the beginning of the 1960s, the Jánošík Days cultural festival has been held every year. Examples of events known are the Cyril and Methodius Days, the Rozmarín Country Festival, Budzogáň and others.
