Geocache Description:

Most southern extent of the midnight sun, intersecting with the Road to Prudhoe Bay on the south slope of the Brooks Range.

Pack extra tires, fuel, tow chain, spotlight, food, water, bugdope, and warm sleeping bag in winter. Proceed north from Fairbanks up the Steese Highway to the Elliot Highway to the Dalton Highway. Travel mile posts are: 140 miles to the Yukon River, 180 miles to Finger mountain, 190 miles to the Kanuti River, and 200 miles to the Arctic Circle (Dalton Highway mile 115). Watch for the big rigs, on crowned surface they must stay in the center of the road, pull over and stop if need be. In winter these trucks throw up a blinding whiteout behind them, so look out for the second truck. By mountain bike allow eight days round trip and keep your pepperspray handy.
