Geocache Description:

A surprising piece of California history in a quaint Bay Area town.

This is an official state historical landmark but you don't have to go in to score this cache. If you do wish to go in (which we encourage), it's open from 10am-5pm Wednesday through Sunday and admission is just $2 for those over 17 years of age.

Among other things, this place is a monument to the resourcefulness of California's pioneers as the building materials were "liberated" from a number of interesting sources including six ships masts taken from nearby boats!

To log this one, send me an email with a description of what you find here along with the number of steps you need to climb from the street to the front door. DO NOT POST THE ANSWER HERE!

Enjoy this unique bit of California history.
