Since many geocachers gave, Count Me In (GC606WV), a favorite point, we decided to offer a second version of the puzzle. Here we offer another counting task designed for children of all ages. All that is needed is a knowledge of addition and multiplication. We suggest you bring a writing tool and something to write on to do your calculations.
Are you color blind? If you are, this cache may be difficult for you. For everyone else, this should be an easy puzzle. At GZ you will find an object with colored Legos. All you have to do is count the colored bricks and do some grade school arithmetic. Then you'll be all set to open the lock and retrieve the cache.
A) Multiply the number of BLUE bricks times the number of LIME bricks = ____
B) Multiply the number of GREEN bricks times the number of ORANGE bricks = ____
C) Multiply the number of bricks in the top row times the number of bricks in the bottom row = ____
D) The number of bricks that are GREY= ____
Now, Add A + B +C + D = _____. That is the lock combination. (The combination goes on the thin end piece).
Can you get it right the first time?
NOTE: The reason for the 2.5 terrain difficulty is that there is about a 125 foot bushwhack to reach GZ. We wanted to put the cache where the Muggles wouldn't find it. The container is placed low enough so that most children will be able to reach it. Accurate coordinates are hard to get here, so just look around and you'll spot what you are looking for. Please feel free to list the coordinates that you got.
