Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden in the Balch Hill Natural Area and is a really lovely place for a picnic with a view of Hanover, plus you get to visit a HUGE Red Oak tree on the way up!

From the Upper Valley Trail Alliance: Balch Hill provides easy terrain with moderate inclines and walking routes to the summit range from 0.3-1.0 miles.  Balch Hill features diverse natural communities including the abandoned pasture at the summit and forested communities on the Hill’s slopes including pines, hardwoods, and hemlocks. The summit has views of Moose Mountain, Mount Ascutney, and Gile Mountain.

This cache is in a lock-tite container that's approximately 6"x5"x3", it contains a log book and lots of goodies for trade.

Park at the intersection of East Wheelock St, Trescott Road and Grasse Road in Hanover, NH. Use the Grasse Road Loop Trail, it's wide and well maintained, about 3/4 of the way up you can visit the beautiful Oak Tree.

This cache is in the summit field, hidden near the Hunter West Trail along the rock wall. Have a seat on a rock, enjoy the view and pick a fun keepsake.

Have fun!
