You will find this cache in a rugged little area known as Mermaid
Inlet which is on the same headland as "Wreck Sight". There are
many places to explore here. The track that takes you to the cache
forks towards the end so you are basically left with 2 options.
If you take the right option, be very careful down at the rocks.
The warning signs and life preservers are there for good reason. If
the waves are crashing over the shelf, stay well clear as there are
other options.
Taking the left fork presents the other options. Yes you can get
through the dark "Tunnel of Doom". Watch out! the end is as
treacherous as it sounds so steady as she goes.
Now where is that b***** cache.
Warnings. No night caching. Stay away during heavy seas. Don't
attempt this if you suffer from Vertigo, or Claustrophobia. The
cliffs are unfenced and crumbly. This is not a place I'd recommend
for young children but if you do take them, keep them well behind
you. Beware of possible reptilian nasties is cracks and crevices,
perhaps a stick or two to test things first. Phew! sounds ominous
doesn't it?
Good luck in the Tunnel of Doom.
