The cowbird doesn't build a nest of her own, but instead deposits an egg in the nest of another species who then 'fosters' the youngster, raising it along with its own. I think you'll quickly see why this cache is called Cowbird! It's a stone's throw from a state highway, but don't do it as the crow flies!
