KAPLE PANNY MARIE SNEZNE
NA HVEZDE
Stavba o pudorysu peticipe hvezdy
stoji na miste, kde dal opat Tomas Sartorius v roce 1670 vztycit
dreveny kriz s pozlacenou plechovou hvezdou. Kaple byla zbudovana
podle navrhu Kiliana Ignace Dientzenhofera v letech 1732 - 1733.
Iniciatorem stavby byl opat Otmar Zinke, ktery ji take v roce 1733
vysvetil. V roce 1786 byla kaple zrusena. Znovu opravena a
posvecena pak byla az v roce 1853.
Tato stavba z tesaneho piskovce
svou krasnou polohou na temeni Broumovskych sten dominuje dalekemu
okoli. Je pristupna klenutym mostem vedoucim pres cestu ve skalni
rozsedline, terasa u kaple je 40 metru dlouha. Vnejsi fasady jsou
vyzdeny z tesanych kvadru. Z kruhoveho pudorysu vystupuje 6
ostrouhelnych cipu, kterymi kaple ziskava tvar peticipe hvezdy.
Stavba ma rozpeti 11 metru. Plechova krytina nahradila drivejsi
vhodnejsi palene stresni tasky.
Uvnitr je kaple kulata a meri
6,5m v prumeru. Zdi jsou deleny 10 pilastry. Ctyri vysoka klenuta
okna jsou v kratkych usecich sten mezi cipy s pulkruhovymi nikami.
Jediny mensi oltar stoji ve vyklenku a je praci neznameho
venkovskeho umelce.
V sobotu kolem svatku Panny Marie
Snezne (5.srpna) se zde kazdorocne kona tradicni
pout.
Jeste pred vyzvednutim cache se
muzete obcerstvit v nedaleke drevene chate - byvale benediktinske
fortovne, postavene ve svycarskem slohu v roce 1853, jejiz interier
rovnez stoji za shlednuti.

THE CHAPEL OF VIRGIN
MARY
On the Broumov Cliffs range the
Chapel of Virgin Mary was built in the years 1732-33 according to
the project of Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer. Even in 1670 an abbot
Thomas Sartorius had a wooden cross with a gilt metal star raised
on this place which was originally placed on the monastery spire
destroyed during the fire in 1664. The outer shape of the chapel
itself is a pentacle as well. The building of engraved sandstone is
thanks to its lovely location a landmark of the wide surroundings.
It is accessible over an arched bridge that leads along the path in
the rocky cleft. The surroundings of the chapel have been laid out
as a scenic terrace that offers a splendid view over the whole
Broumov basin. In 1786 was the chapel by order of the emperor
Joseph II. closed, sold and was to be demolished. Its new owner
took the roof down, took the altars and pews away and the rest of
the building was falling into disrepair until the half of the 19th
century when the ruined chapel was bought by an abbot Jan Nepomuk
Rotter. He had it restored and in 1855 the Chapel of Virgin Mary
was consecrated again. At the same time a pub in the Alpine style
with arched cellars cut in the rocks was built nearby and thanks to
the fast development of tourism the Broumov Cliffs range has become
a frequent tourist destination. Every year a traditional fair takes
place here on the day of the Virgin Mary holiday (5th
August).
The
Broumov Group of Churches
The baroque
churches, the so-called "Broumov Group", built on the territory of
the Broumov monastic estate in accordance with the plans of
Christoph Dientzenhofer and his son Kilian Ignaz form a unique
architectural landmark of the region. The churches were built in a
relatively short time, in the period 1709-43. They are a result of
unusual building and economic boom initiated by abbot Otmar Zinke -
a very capable provost of the Benedictine monastery of
Brevnov-Broumov. Despite the unquestionable economy of their
design, these country churches bear a seal of uniqueness and
creative originality worthy of the well-known name of its authors
-- father and son the Dientzenhofers. In particular the following
buildings are concerned: the Church of St. Procope in Bezdekov, the
Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Božanov, the Church of St.
Wenceslas in Broumov, the Church of All Saints in Hermánkovice, the
Church of St. Barbara in Otovice, the Church of St. James the
Bigger in Ruprechtice, the Church of St. Margaret in Šonov,
the Church of St. Michael in Vernérovice, the Church of St. Anne in
Vižnov and the Chapel of Virgin Mary (also called the Star) on
the border of the Broumov Cliffs.
KAPELLE DER JUNGFRAU
MARIA
An den Bergkämmen der Braunauer
Wände wurde gemäß dem Projekt von Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer in den
Jahren 1732-33 die Kapelle der Jungfrau Maria gebaut. Der Abt Tomas
Sartorius hat schon im Jahr 1670 an ihre Stelle ein Holzkreuz mit
einem vergoldeten Blechstern aufgestellt, der ursprünglich am
Klosterturm angebracht wurde (beim Klosterbrand im Jahre 1664
zerstört). Die Kapelle hat von außen die Form eines fünfzackigen
Sterns. Der Bau aus behauenem Sandstein dominiert mit seiner
schönen Lage die weite Umgebung. Er ist über eine gewölbte Brücke
zugänglich, die über eine Felsenspalte führt. Die Umgebung der
Kapelle ist als Aussichtstour gestaltet, von der sich eine
herrliche Aussicht auf den gesamten Braunauer Talkessel bietet. Im
Jahre 1786 wurde die Kapelle laut Weisung des Kaisers Josef II.
abgebaut, verkauft und zum Abbruch bestimmt. Der neue Besitzer hat
das Dach abgerissen, die Altäre und Bänke abtransportiert. Der
Baurest verfiel bis in die Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts, als die
halbverfallene Kapelle der Abt Jan Nepomuk Rotter kaufte. Er ließ
sie erneuern und im Jahr 1855 wurde die Kapelle der Jungfrau Maria
festlich eingeweiht. Gleichzeitig wurde unweit eine Gaststätte im
Alpenstil gebaut, mit in Felsen gehauenem Bogenkeller, und dank des
sich schnell entwickelnden Tourismus wurde der Bergkamm der
Braunauer Wände ein gesuchtes Ausflugsziel. Alljährlich findet hier
zum Namenstag der Jungfrau Maria (5. August) das traditionelle
Sternfest statt.
Die
Kirchengruppe von Broumov
Als eine
einzigartige architektonische Sehenswürdigkeit der Region gelten
die Barock-kirchen der sog. "Broumov-Gruppe", gebaut auf den
Ländereien der Klosterherrschaft von Broumov nach Vorlage des
Christoph Dientzenhofer und seines Sohnes Kilian Ignaz. Die Kirchen
wurden innerhalb einer relativ kurzen Zeit gebaut, zwischen 1709 -
43. Sie entstanden als Folge eines ungewöhnlichen Bau- und
Wirtschafts-booms, aus der Initiative des Abtes Otmar Zinke -eines
sehr tüchtigen Vorstehers der Benediktinerabtei von
Brevnov-Broumov. Diese Landkirchen zeugen, trotz ihrer unbestritten
sparsamen Lösung, von Einzigartigkeit und künstlerischer
Originalität ihrer berühmten Autoren - Vater und Sohn
Dientzenhofer. Es handelt sich um folgende Bauten: Kirche des Hl.
Prokop in Bezdekov, Kirche der Hl. Maria Magdalena in Božanov,
Kirche des Hl. Wenzels in Broumov, Kirche Aller Heiligen in
Hermánkovice, Kirche der Hl. Barbara in Otovice, Kirche des Hl.
Jakob des Größeren in Ruprechtice, Kirche der Hl. Marketa in
Šonov, Kirche des Hl. Michael in Vernérovice, Kirche der Hl.
Anna in Vižnov und die Kapelle der Jungfrau Maria (auch
„Hvezda" (Stern) genannt) auf dem Kamm der Broumov
Felswände.
