From this corner one can see the new art structure that lets people know they are in Los Gatos. Personally, I would think they might have wanted it at a street location where people are entering Los Gatos, not 'in the middle' (sort of) of the town. But this article explains the options for the gateway project and why they put it where they did:

So, from this corner, look up the hill a ways and in the middle of the street is the new sculpture.
A few years ago I got this cache container and I've wondered where I could put it for quite a while. I finally decided this might work out where we could all learn a bit more about what we see.
The cache is probably pretty easy for most people, but new cachers may find it a small challenge.
