Peter and I met over ten years ago, when he moved to Vermont. Circumstances have it that we are reconnecting, and in celebrating this new friendship, the importance of rest and play, we set up on this kayaking adventure with in mind to set up a cache together.
Our kayaking adventures led us to this lovely day use spot. We were inspired by the beauty of the rock and vegetation growing on it at this spot on the Reservoir.The lovely soft semi-trail let us to this miniature peninsula where there is space for a campfire. Trees hosted our hammock for rest, and the geocache was set for play. We've seen a couple children jump off the rock in to the water, but Peter would strongly suggest you check the depth before venturing. There were beautiful mushrooms in the undergrown of these woods.
