The original cache was a plastic Ammo box placed by Wakefield Girl Scout Troop 83417 in November, 2021 while they were first grade Daisies. Each girl added a piece of swag to start it off, and it also has a FTF Geocoin as a prize and a travelbug registered to the troop. Contains a Rite in the Rain Logbook and pencil. The girls all voted on this spot as the best place off the trail, in a not too obvious location, and with a nice view of the creek below from the pines nearby, so they named it Pine View. We hope you enjoy and place it back in it's spot aafterward.after a few months, the plastic ammo box was broken, so we replaced it with a metal ammo box.
Placed with permission from the Wakefield DPW. Parking available in the adjacent lot for Wakefield Memorial High School (see waypoint) or along Hemlock Rd., but it may be difficult during school hours.
