The posted coordinates will take you to our favorite view of the Old Stone Church in West Boylston. The Old Stone Church is open to the public and can be visited from 1 hour before sunrise to 1 hour after sunset. Pets are not allowed.
Brief History
Built at the end of the 19th Century, after the previous Baptist church had been destroyed by fire, the Old Stone Church was located on a small hill above the West Boylston valley below. Soon after the construction of the Wachusett Reservoir began and the industrial and agricultural area in the valley was flooded. Over 1700 residents were displaced and four churches, eight schools,and six mills and acres of fruit farms were displaced. 1. Enter the church and count the number of windows on the three sides of the church that have them.
2. On a white plaque outside the church what group is listed as the last one that made the information upon it available ?
3. On the outside wall of the church that has no windows what is the current decoration if there is one ?
