Park at the gate, but do not block it. Walk gradually uphill on the wide forest road to the trailhead coordinates. Duck under the fallen tree and follow the footpath to a campsite. Then make your way downstream to the cache and the flume and falls.
Supervise your children and dogs well so no one gets swept away.
