....You're sure of a big surprise! (These paths would be a great place to have a teddy bear's picninc!)
A gem of a walking trail that is not so well known! This 35-acre property features an open grassy meadow leading to a wooded area containing walking trails. The third of a mile Red Diamond Loop Trail follows a former cross country ski path! For a more challenging walk, the third of a mile Black Loop Trail has some steep portions. The half mile Long Trail is a one-way path through marshy woodlands. A granite stone marker indicates the end of the property and the return point. There is a gravel parking lot on Village street with access to the trailhead!
Park and walk past the sign, into the open meadow. There are access points to the path in multiple locations off the side of the meadow. This is the second in what i hope to be a series of many caches my kids and i place up in this area! Lots to see along the trails - bat boxes placed by boy scout troops, a few picnic tables to rest at, you may even see a local horse stable from the back!
You are looking for a small lock and lock with geocaching stickers on it. It is a bout 20 ft from the trail. There is a pen and space for some small swag! Please remember to trade something of equa or greater value when you choose something to take. Look for natural cmouflage once you get to the correct spot!
