An introductory verse ("When all the world is a hopeless jumble...") that was omitted from the song "Over The Rainbow" in the film is sometimes used in theatrical productions of The Wizard of Oz and is included in the piano sheet music from the film. Judy Garland sang the introductory verse at least once, on a 1948 radio broadcast of The Loella Parsons Show. Lyrics for a second verse ("Once by a word only lightly spoken...") appeared in the British edition of the sheet music.
