Whew! What a workout Nubanusit can be! If you want to go all the way around to Spoonwood pond, you're looking at a little more than 8 miles of paddling. If you're just here for the cache, thankfully for you it is pretty close to the parking. If coming from the north, probably about 4 miles overall of paddling.
A pretty non-descript island. Some trees in the south toppled over. Northeast has a slightly cleared point for a nice afternoon lunch. Many loons about. Watched an airplane boat land!
Animals seen: loons, ducks, bullfrogs, newts, sunfish, salamanders, mayflies, grasshoppers, watersnakes, bald eagles, clearwings
