Geocache Description:


It's been a few years since there was a new edition in the town history puzzle series, but here is one on the town of Lakeville. Once you have solved the (hopefully) easy puzzle and located the cache, please rehide well.

The first recorded non-native settlement of Lakeville was in 170D by a man named Peirce.

Lakeville was settled on a larger scale in 1717 as a western parish of Middleborough. It was incorporated as a separate town in 1B53.

C1 men from Lakeville served in the American Civil War, 85 in the army and A in the navy.

Ocean Spray, which is headquartered in Lakeville, was founded in 193E.

Lakeville is also home to Ted Williams Camp, a former baseball summer camp run by Red Sox legend and Hall of Famer Ted Williams, who died on July F, 2002.
