Save the date! It is International Geocaching Day. Earn a souvenir, meet some cachers, get out and come together for a celebration and grab some smileys on every 3rd Saturday in August. This quirky celebrtion is what makes the geocaching community so endearing. Log any geocache, Adventure Lab or event on August 20 to earn the Geocaching Day 2022 souvenir. Come together to break the record, bring friends and the community together to make history. Anyone who attends will count toward the previous record. The old record, I found out, was set on August 11, 2013 @ 126,833 single-day cachers. I hope to set more caches out to explore in this area prior to the event and welcome other cachers to do the same. Park near the Rockingham Rail Trail kiosk at the far end of the pharmacy parking lot in Epping, convently located off Route 101 and central to many nearby walking trails, parks and caches. There are a couple of coffee places nearby including one walking distance - just across the street.
Hopefully other cachers will place events nearby throughout the region so cachers will come out for the day. Bring trackables to discover and your hiking shoes to hit the bike trail here. Hope to see you there!
