Geocache Description:

This cache is on the Squamscott River in Newfields, NH. You can access it from the Newfields Public Boat Launch and take a nice boat paddle. It is not accessible by land; therefore the T 5 rating. Please watch the tides too; we paddled out when the tide was rising and you have to strategically place yourself sideways in the tide in order to access this cache. The tide chart can be viewed at usharbors.com, Squamscott River (Great Bay). It is a green bison at eye height in a watercraft.  The challenge is moving in for the grab in the tide; it requires some manuevering.  There is a really nice view of Stratham and  Sandy Point as you kayak toward the Great Bay.  The day we went out, the osprey were flying, herons and many seagulls were present along the River. The cowcatcher was the fixture on the front of locomotives that pushed aside obstacles on the line. I imagine back in history that this line must have had many locomotives that used cowcatchers.  Many know that I often use a livestock them in my names, so I opted to a pass back into history with what must have existed on these rails in the past.  The cache is a green bison attached to a bolt via 2 zip ties at eye level, so I hope it last over the winter storms.  The difficulty is in manuevering in during the tides and getting to the cache.  Enjoy the paddle!

Big Read, you have outdone yourself.  That one was tricky to manuever in the tides, the pilings and the current. Impressive!  Well executed and with the  low tidal influence!
