Located in the beautiful Forges field complex, this cache will bring you on a leisurely 0.4-mile loop around the baseball and softball fields. You can bike, walk, or bring a pet on the paved walking trails. Forges field has over 1.5 miles of paved walking paths that are ready to explore. If you close your eyes, that sound you hear isn't a river with rushing rapids, it's Rte 3. (As they say in Maine "you can't get there from here!" Forges Field is not accessible from Route 3 so don't try it) This location reminded us of the many rivers in Maine, our time at UMaine where we met, and where Shelly played softball for the Black Bears. Her softball journey started many moons ago, on a town field just like this.
