Geocache Description:

This cache is in the Tioga Marsh Conservation area.  Tioga is a native American word meanng "Many Forks."  I have paddled upstream on the Tioga and can attest to the many forks with many leading nowhere.  Finding the main channel is tricky sometimes.  The cache is on land and can be accessed by the many trails in the area, with many forks.  There is a small parking lot marked with 2 metal gates that are usually open.  Signs in the lot will show you that you are in the correct place.  Why the signs are not visible from the road is a question for another day.  The trail that leads to the cache begins directly across from the entrance to the lot.  You will have to leave the trail and search in a thicket of young birch and evergreen trees to find the silver medium-sized Bison tube.  Bring your own pen.  A nice area to continue following the trails.  In deer season there are hunters in the area, but the cache is not that far into the woods.  It would be best to wear some orange in hunting season.

Congratulations to JSLisLost for FTF.  Consolaton prize to MrDBF who found it an hour later.
