The Lamprey River originates in Northwood, NH and makes a journey of 50.2 miles to Great Bay. It is part of the designated National Wild and Scenic River System.
This particular location is a great place to kayak, canoe, and fish. Parking is free but limited – and this area gets VERY busy during warmer weather. While it’s nearly deserted in winter, extreme stealth is required during the summer!
