A Tiszántúl egyetlen kastélya, amelyben barokk falképek maradtak fenn. A kastély kiemelkedő értéke az eperjesi származású, bécsi akadémián tanult, Kassán működő Wurtzinger Mihály 1797-ben festett mennyezeti freskója a díszteremben. Az eredetileg közel 10 holdas, egészen a Tisza-partig nyúló, a kor divatjához igazodó angol parkot a kastély építésével párhuzamosan alakították ki. A kastélyt övező parkban még mai állapotában is sok értékes növény található: a százötven éves vagy ennél idősebb kocsányos tölgyek, feketefenyők, ezüsthársak és juharfélék az egykori park hangulatát idézik, ezen kívül találunk itt platánt, szivarfát, vadgesztenyét és kőrisfát.
Tiszántúl is the only castle in which baroque wall paintings have survived. The outstanding value of the castle is the ceiling fresco painted in 1797 by Mihály Wurtzinger, who was born in Eperjes, studied at the Vienna Academy, and worked in Kassa, in the hall. The English park, which was originally nearly 10 moons long and stretched all the way to the banks of the Tisza, was created parallel to the construction of the castle, in line with the fashion of the time. In the park surrounding the castle, there are still many valuable plants in their present state: pedunculated oaks, black pines, silver lindens and maples that are one hundred and fifty years old or older evoke the atmosphere of the former park, in addition to this, we can find sycamore, cigar tree, wild chestnut and ash tree.
