This Virtual Geocache has been places in downtown Moorhead with permission of both the museum board and Groundspeak.
If you are at the posted coordinates you are standing in front of what was once the Moorhead Federal Post Office, as posted on The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum website; https://www.therourke.org/history.html .
The National Register of Historic Places describes the old Post office and Courthouse as a Classical Revival government designed building that was successfully adapted for use as The Plains Art Museum. Which is true, but they left out the building housing the Red River Art Center. Be that as it may be, head to the posted coordinates and experience some delightful experiances.
Logging Task
There are several interesting things on and around this building. To show that you visited the location of this virtual, post a picture of one of the things that catches your eye or imagination. Be sure to include yourself or another cacher in the photo (back of head, hand, patella, etc. is fine) or a favorite caching item to help weed out vacation photos from days of yore.
