You will need a tape measure or ruler!
This cache is located near Cowcroft Trig Point, which was originally found in the old YSM series, and retains its original number of YSM 0339, and was found on 14-08-2011.
As these are survey pillars, you need to do a little easy surveying to calculate the cache location. At the trig point, and using your chosen measuring device. Measure in Centimetres the width (horizontally) of the flat face of the pillar across the dead centre of the S**** flush bracket number, look for the black measuring marks, and call this number AB. (Do not include the corner chamfers in this width) From the top lip of the pillar, measure downwards 930 mm to find 2 letters. Where A=1, and Z=6 (dropping the leading digit), convert these letters to numbers and call them C & D.
The cache can be found at N51 42.B-(C+D) A-D B-D W000 34.B+(D-C) B-C A-(D-C)
The nearest parking is, come in from Botley, at the end of Tylers Hill Road by the church.
