Geocache Description:

Welcome to Cowdrey Conservation Area! This is one of my favorite local spots to walk - especially some of the less-traveled tails. The Mulpus Brook winds its way through here and makes for gorgeous wetland views, especially on the Blue trail! This also means bug spray and protective clothing is a must in the warmer months.

Lunenburg could use a lot more caches, so I'm bringing you to this gorgeous, semi-flat, easy to walk area. These caches are all semi-close to trails, because in my opinion, bush whacking stinks, and so do the extra ticks that come with it. Also - who wants a boring container or just a hanging bison tube in the woods? These caches are a little more fun, and great to do with kids. Bring your leashed pup if you'd like, and please be sure to clean up after them.

This particular cache could be considered a P&G. You may need to bring a tool to retrieve the log and BYOP. Please be be sure to twist the container shut tightly.

Lunenburg Conservation Commission did lots of work on mapping and marking trails in 2023 but they're not updated online yet. Trails are well-marked and I recommend taking a photo of the map when you get there or using the Alltrails.com map, or the geocaching trail map. You can consult this map ahead of time if you'd like:  https://www.mrpc.org/sites/g/files/vyhlif3491/f/uploads/lunenburg_trailinventory_85x11p_0.pdf (Look southeast of Hickory Hills Lake. Note: Hickory Hills Lake is private)
