Geocache Description:

Huge Toppled Organisms Cache

This band of once mighty trees towered over Robbins Mill conservation land until an even mightier storm laid them low in 2023. But we mustn’t lament the death of these extraordinary organisms. In their fallen state each tree has become a new ecosystem which will provide both shelter and sustenance to an astonishing variety of life. Huge fallen trees are also a great place to hide geocaches.

Of note, there is another goblin Tog Mog* adjacent to the cache location (see photo). This one is a scorn totem directed at a gnome named Ufbar. It begins, in customary fashion, by making disparaging remarks regarding Ufbar’s parentage. The totem then lists his…umm liaisons with various woodland creatures…and plants…and fungi. More insults follow…oh my….yikes…*gasp*! I’m not going to translate the rest, let’s just say these goblins have a very low opinion of Ufbar.

Also of note: the cache disguise is igneous. With careful foot placement, you can reach it without getting your feet soaked. Knee bending required.

*For more regarding Mog Togs, see Marsh Goblin Totem Cache.

Please take note of the position of the cache container before retrieving it and be sure to return the container to it's original hiding location in order to maintain the intended level of concealment. Also, I would appreciate feedback on the condition of my containers. Each one is an experiment to make them more durable, watertight and inconspicuous. Thank you!
