Geocache Description:

As a follow-up to the previous Jerusalem Secrets multicache, I placed another multicache near another bridge. Actually two bridges. They cross Nahal Sorek (the brook of Sorek), which cuts through the Arazim Valley. The purpose of this multicache is to have you explore a corner of this beautiful nature reserve that not many people know of. There is a convenient paved bike path starting at the edge of French Hill and then riding westwards along Nahal Tzofim, through Zofim Wadi Park, merging with Nahal Sorek, and finally reaching the Arazim Valley Park.

In French Hill we have an annual bike ride along this bike path, in memory of Charlie, a beloved member of the neighborhood who pass away tragically. We hold the ride on or around his birthday (May 4th), and when we reach Einot Telem (near this cache), we have a picnic, and Chalie's family brings everybody cupcakes. Along the way we have a tradition of writing wishes in chalk at a specific rest point. We call this bike ride, "Tour de French Hill".

Reaching the final:

At the posted coordinates you will find two pedestrian hanging bridges. One has A vertical metal cables holding it up, the other has B vertical ropes holding it up. Use those to calculate the location of the final:

N 31 48.xxx ; where xxx = A-1

E 35 11.yyy ; where yyy = 2B + 79

1. Starting "Tour de French Hill 2024"

2. Chalk Graffiti Wishes

3. At the picnic

4. Cupcakes for Charlie
