William Cullen Bryant was a well educated man who built/funded and gave the Bryant Library in town to the community. If you have time check it out at the corner of Route 112 and Route 9 in Cummington, it is open Mondays and Wednesdays 6-9; Saturdays 8:30-12:30. This is a second smaller library easily enjoyed any time during daylight hours.
