Geocache Description:

Located in Allaire State Park, within hearing distance of the Pine Creek Railroad (a small loop railroad within the park).

This park is a great day trip, almost any time of year. The park is home to two points of interest: Allaire Village and the Pine Creek Railroad. The Allaire village is a mid 1800s village located in the forrest, with many of the buildings restored - great place to see how people lived back then. The Pine Creek Railroad is a narrow gauge (tracks are 3 feet wide) railroad run by a group of volunteers who are restoring old train cars for use on this track (they can be found at www.njmt.org). The trains have whistles that can be heard throughout the park. The cache is within hearing range of the trains.

The cache is in a clear blue plastic container. The cache contains:
- the logbook and pen
- a rubik's cube-type puzzle
- a rescue breather mask keychain (for use when doing CPR)
- two small card games for kids - this is a perfect cache if you have little people helping you find it
- a box of 35mm kodak black and white film (the kind that can be dropped off for one hour processing)
- a blank, sealed Sony mini-disc
- the Brio travel bug
