The Three Gorges Dam Project is located in Yichang County in Hubei Province, China. The Chinese government will spend more than US$18 billion before this project is completed. It will be the world's largest dam and hydroelectric power station and is becoming a tourist destination in itself.
If you visit the dam, you'll probably taken to the visitor's center. While there, follow your GPS to the top of the lookout point and find the memorial pillar on its top.
To log this cache, send me the letters and numbers you find on the pillar. The pillar is shown in the picture below but the numbers have been smudged to make it a bit of a challenge.
Only authorized tour groups can enter the dam site, but if you visit the Yangtze River area, you'll probably be coming here!
