I have recently adopted this cache after it was in
bad need of maintenance and the owner could not be reached and seems to have
dropped out of geocaching. I have replaced the cache with a 35 cal ammo
can and relocated it to what I hope is a more secure location a couple hundred
feet away.
Anyone having found it at the old location is welcome to hunt the new
location and log another find.
A word of caution, don't wear shorts, plenty of low dense brush and thorns in
the area. I placed this cache during the winter with no leaves on the
trees and had good satellite signal but as the leaves start to grow that story
will change for the worse.
The Grand Iles ferry operates all year with boats
leaving every 9 minuets in the wintertime to keep the channel open through the
ice.
