I went out for a hike and had a great time. I wasn’t looking for any caches because I knew there were none in this particular area. It is just a place that I like to hike and have done so for many years. But like many of my fellow Geocachers that I have met and corresponded with, I have taken to the habit of carrying a cache or two with me on hikes… Just in case…
For a January day the weather was gorgeous. The temperature was around 80 degrees and flowers were blooming everywhere. I got so caught up in the beauty of the day that I completely forgot about the caches I had stowed away in my backpack. When I returned to my car it dawned on me that I had completely forgotten about my caches. But when I opened my backpack I noticed that one of my caches was missing and a strange piece of paper with a photo on it was left in its place. It appears to me that if you go to the spot marked on the photo that you will probably find the cache that mysteriously disappeared from by backpack.
Always use caution when reaching under rocks and bushes. Please, no bushwhacking.
