Geocache Description:

Come visit Iron Horse Trail in Contra Costa County. The cache is easily accessed by bicycling, roller blading, jogging or just plain old strolling along. With this said, bring the family and fido to find this cache as it is a nice paved horizontal path. There are multiple places for parking along the trail.

This multi-use, whole-access trail between the cities of Concord and San Ramon follows the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way established in 1891 and abandoned in 1977. For more information visit the East Bay Parks Website at:

This is a 35mm film canister log-only cache. Please use your own writing implement as the cache is too small for a pen.

The cache had survived several major construction projects, but fell pray to a homeowner once the construction crews fled the scene. So it has been moved to a more public (and conspicuous) location.
