Als de werkzaamheden binnen afzienbare tijd zijn hersteld en de cache herplaatst kan worden, wil ik nog overwegen om de cache terug te halen uit het archief, mits deze aan de dan geldende voorwaarden voldoet.

Deze cache is een historische stadswandeling door Nijmegen. Je bekijkt diverse oude punten en krijgt wat uitleg over elk punt. Ook het ontstaan van Nijmegen wordt belicht.

This cache is a historical city tour through Nijmegen. You will see various old places and get some explanation about every point. Also the birth of Nijmegen is explained.

Omdat het aardig wat tekst is (overigens: het lijken veel punten maar ze liggen allemaal redelijk dicht bij elkaar hoor) plus wat geschiedenis gegevens, is de tekst niet direct geschikt voor op deze geocaching pagina.
Daarom is het nodig dit Word-document te downloaden en printen. Voor het geval dat je geen Word hebt: er is ook een tekstvariant beschikbaar, echter de tekstopmaak is dan minder duidelijk dus dat backup scenario heeft zeker níét de voorkeur.

Let Op: check of je bij vraag 1. de Hebreeuwse tekst kunt lezen. Zo niet: print dan foto 1 uit die je onderaan deze cachepagina kunt vinden.

Nog wat verdere tips vooraf:
Neem een rekenmachine mee, er zitten wat berekeningen in die minder handig uit het hoofd zijn te doen. Daarnaast _kan_ een klein lampje handig zijn, maar echt per se nodig is het niet.
De tijd die je ongeveer nodig zult hebben, als je niet te veel fout doet, schatten we ongeveer op 3 1/2 tot 4 uur. Trek er gewoon lekker de tijd voor uit en geniet van de vele bezienswaardigheden in deze stad... en de vele terrasjes die er zijn.
Parkeren... is het verstandigste in één van de diverse parkeergarages, waarvan Kelfkensbos de handigste is dichtbij de start, langste openingstijd... sommigen andere gaan bijtijds dicht). Let in elk geval goed op als je ergens anders parkeert: de parkeerwachten zijn tuk op prenten uitdelen. Er zijn vergunningshouder-zones en betaal overal ook op koopzondagen.
Kijk, lees en reken rustig en nauwkeurig, dan is het een fluitje van een cent.
De eindcache is tegenwoordig een logschrift in een plastic zak geworden en niet meer geschikt voor ruil-goodies (die zitten er dus ook niet meer in!). Namelijk steeds als we er een doosje neerleggen wordt alles gejat en een totaal andere verstopplek vinden wilde niet lukken in de buurt van de stad.
Ohja, je krijgt hem nog steeds niet helemaal gratis maar de jaargetijdebeelden in het Hunnerpark zijn (tijdelijk?) weg... de vrouw met de druiventros was de tweede van rechts.

Veel plezier met de wandeling en geniet van het vele moois wat je te zien krijgt!!!

Therefore it is necessary to download and print this Word document. In case you don't have Word: there is a converted-to-text version available, but there the text layout is less clear so that back up scenario certainly is nót preferred.

Note: check whether at question 1. the Hebrew text is readable. If not: print foto 1 which can be found below this cache page.

Some further tips in advance:
Take along a calculator, there are some calculations to be done which are a bit less suitable to do by brains alone. Also a small torch _can_ be handy, but it is very well possible to do without one.
The estimated time needed is, if you don't make too many mistakes, about 3 1/2 up to 4 hours. Just reserve the time and enjoy the many sights of this town... and the many terraces that are there.
Parking... is best to do in one of the several parking garages, from which Kelfkensbos is the most handy one (close to the start, longest opening times... some others close rather early). Pay attention very well if you park somewhere else: the parking rangers are willing to give you a fine. There are licenseholders-only-zones and on all places you also have to pay on the shopping sundays.
Look, read and calculate relaxedly and exactly, then it is a piece of cake.
The final cache nowadays is a logbook in a plastic bag and not suitable for goodies anymore (so there aren't any in it!). Reason is that every time that we put a box overthere everything is being stolen and we just couldn't succeed in finding a totally other hiding place in the neighbourhood of the city.
Oh and by the way, you still won't get this one for free but the statues that point out the seasons in the Hunnerpark are (temporarily?) gone... the woman with the grapes was the second one from the right.
