How does this multi-stage cache work?

Start by going to the coordinates listed above. From this point you will find clues along the way that will lead you to the cache.

Print this cache info if you want so you can read as you go, and fill in the blanks. Bring a couple of pens or pencils.

You will walk a total of about 2 3/4 miles round trip and climb about 230’ during this Geocaching adventure. Take your time, enjoy the plants and trees and sights along the trails and river. Take plenty of water!

Begin your adventure at the Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery, below the Table Rock Dam on Hwy 165. Park in the lower parking lot close to the water at 36°35.770 93°18.230.

You may want to visit the Hatchery, and its exhibits. You can pick up an area map or see the related web page provided for an online map. However, you don’t have to have these guides to solve the puzzles or find the cache.

Before you start your trek down the trail take note of the outfall # near the parking coordinates. This will be "E"

Now start down the White River Corridor Trail at N36°35.784 W93°18.168. Take the bridges and start the adventure! Make your way to the #11 viewing platform. When you get to the platform walk to the end to enjoy the view. B = how many post hold up the handrails on your left side?

Continue to N36°35.878 W93°17.903, turn right, down the steps past #13 post, and onto the Canebrake Trail. Take note of the distance of the trail on its sign because that number after the decimal is "D". Follow this jungle-like trail along the river. You will come to a river gauging station with its tall tower on the right. Let C = ___times two the number of doors in the small building on the left.

Continue on the trail and bear right at the Y. Go down onto the boat launching ramp. Linger here a little. Let X = ___ the number of people fly fishing in Lake Taneycomo. (Just kidding ;-) Did you know that the lake’s name is a combination of the name 'Taney' and the abbreviations for County & Missouri?
Taney-co-mo. Hmmm.

At N36°35.859 W93°17.628, go up the stairs, counting the steps as you go. If there are 50 or more, Let A = 6. If there are less than 50, let A = 9. Let A = ___.

Sit down at the top of the steps and plug in some numbers to form the coordinates.

The cache coordinates =
N36°35.ABC W93°17.BDE.
N36°35._ _ _ W93°17._ _ _

Make sure you take the correct trail. The one that you think is right might not be! You did mark the coordinates for your car so you can find it again didn’t you? Anyway, it should be at N36°35.770 W93°18.230 if you parked in the lower parking lot.

Good Luck!
