You can approach this cache from at least two different directions. The shorter way is to drive to Vihnusvuori and climb down the cliffs to the lakeshore where the cache is hidden. However, I hid this cache in the beginning of March, and I didn't take that route because the snowy and icy steep cliffs looked really dangerous, so I would recommed another route in the wintertime. There's also a military area at Vihnusvuori, so naturally you have to go around it.
The other option works only at wintertime, and that's also how the cache was hidden: You can
approach the cache site across the frozen lake. Please do not try this option if
you are not sure that the ice will support you! This option will drop at least one star from
the terrain rating. Of course, it's also possible to reach the cache site by boat or canoe at
summertime too.
The third option is to find another route for every season, for example following the lakeshore.
However, I'm not aware of such a route so far. However, the previous finders of the cache seem to have found different ways to approach the cache. Read the logs.
By using these parking coordinates: N 61° 28.954 E 023° 32.532 (the parking lot of the
summer theatre) you will make a 4+ km hike (there and back) if it's winter and you can cross the
frozen lake. Even more if it's summertime and you have to go around the lake.

construction site.

- Keychain
- Small candle
- Toy snake
- Far Side comic picture
- Pencil and a log book
Please make sure the cache remains hidden in the original way.

Tämä Nokian ensimmäinen kätkö sijaitsee Vihnusjärven rannoilla melko lähellä Tampereen rajaa.
Kätkön pystyttämisessä apua antoi Travel Bug
Bob the Cache Builder,
joka auttaa täyttämään Suomen geokätköillä.
Kätköä voi lähestyä ainakin kahdesta eri suunnasta. Lyhyempi tie on ajaa Vihnusvuorelle, ja kiivetä
kallioita pitkin alas rantaan, jonne kätkö on piilotettu. Piilotin tämän kätkön kuitenkin maaliskuussa,
enkä mennyt sitä reittiä, sillä lumiset ja jäiset jyrkät kalliot näyttivät todella vaarallisilta, joten suosittelisin talveksi toista reittiä. Vihnusvuoren tienoilla on myös sotilasalue, joten se pitää tietysti kiertää.
Toinen vaihtoehto toimii vain talvisin, ja tämä kätkö piilotettiinkin juuri tällä tavalla: Kätköpaikkaa voi
lähestyä tulemalla järven yli jäätä pitkin. Älä kuitenkaan yritä tätä kautta jos et
ole varma jään kestävyydestä! Tämä vaihtoehto pudottaa ainakin yhden tähden maaston
vaikeusasteesta. Kesäisin on tietysti mahdollista päästä kätköpaikalle myös veneellä tai kanootilla.
Kolmas vaihtoehto olisi etsiä jokin muu reitti, joka kävisi kaikkina vuodenaikoina, esim. kulkemalla
järven rantoja pitkin. En kuitenkaan ole toistaiseksi tietoinen tällaisesta reitistä. Kätkön käyneet ovat löytäneet erilaisia tapoja lähestyä kätköä. Lue aikaisempia loggauksia.
Pysäköimällä kesäteatterin parkkipaikalle (koordinaatit N 61° 28.954 E 023° 32.532) saa
tehtyä yli 4 kilometrin lenkin (edestakaisin), jos on talvi ja jäätä pitkin voi kulkea. Matka on vielä
pitempi, jos järvi on sula ja sen joutuu kiertämään.
