This can be an easy cache if you start in the correct spot. If not
look out, it's tough bushwacking.
This cache is located in an old rabbit hunting cabin in a swamp.
Best time to get to it is in the winter. I don't know what the
conditions will be like in the spring/summer/fall. I imagine it is
pretty wet. My first trip in was to place this cache. My father had
suggested this spot as a cache site.
Original cache contents are: Bag of balloons, box of chalk,
magnifying glass, pencil sharpener, 2 pencils and log book. Good
luck.
Please respect this property. It is open to all. There is a log
book in the cabin as well.
Just a reminder, the log book for the cabin is not the cache
logbook. The cache is hidden with the logbook and cache
contents.

Wow!!! What a great cache!!! When we came across the cache listing a few months ago, I figured it would be something we would be doing for our 1,000th...not to be the case! Me and Froedo attended the GeoBonfire the night before and met some fellow cachers that were planning a trip out to the imfamous Camp Nasty the following morning. Hmmm, were we up for this massive adventure? Only time would tell! It was February, and from reading the logs, the best month to attempt this find. We set out Sunday morning, picnic lunchs and celebratory beverages packed. The Cana Clan had no clue what we had planned! We met up with the group and off we went! Cold and clear, slight wind, we walked...and walked...and walked. Did I mention how much we walked? It was a good time to get to know our fellow cachers better. We found the trail head into the swamp without any problems. The trail thru the swamp was in perfect condition to skip on thru. In the clearing, there is was, in all it's glory...Camp Nasty!!! We all spent time inside the tiny cabin, seems like every time we looked in we would discover something new to see. We celebrated our adventure with a celebratory toast!!! Great times, great new friends!!! A cache I will certainly never forget!!! This was my 360th find! Signed, Hosta Head (and The Cana Clan)(Froedo logged in below)

After all my worries it turned out to be very easy to find Camp Nasty and get back out again. The large group we saw up ahead of us were there. In fact I heard them as we neared and then saw people, thought they were headed back and then saw Camp Nasty, we were there!!!! I guess it is hard to see until you are right on top of it. Even thought it is easy now I just can't imagine going at any other time and J said he wouldn't want to be the first one in after it snowed! It is quite a place and we really enjoyed our visit and meeting a fun group of cachers.
