Geocache Description:

This cache is located along the pipeline that lead to the old hydroelectric dam that provided power to Queenstown.

This is the first cache hidden by Team Meem.The cache is a plastic "barrel" container with a screw-on lid.The original contents of the cache are all useful items for hiking/caching.This cache will lead you down the One Mile Creek trail to the Ben Lomond track.The One Mile Dam was constructed in 1924 to provide Queenstown with electricity after the acetylene powerplant exploded in June of 1923.The dam, pipeline, and powerhouse were completed in only 18 months.
