Geocache Description:

California has many treasures, but you can find 3 of them in one place.

The big building across the street usually gets all the attention, but this building (and it’s twin across the way) has a lot of charm of its own. There’s a lot of history here and today, this building is the home of a state elected official (do you know which one? Just look at the nearest non handicapped parking spaces for the answer.)

This building also pays tribute to two of California’s greatest treasures with two statues that guard the doors.

Now, if you want to know where a real treasure is, stand between the two statues at the base of the stairs. You are now standing above a vault constructed from 280 tons of concrete and steel and contains items worth millions and millions of dollars. Don’t bother trying to dig for it, though; the ceiling of the vault is 3 feet thick

To log this cache, email me at the address in the profile with the answers to these questions:

What state treasures do the statues represent?
Who is this building dedicated to and what day was he born?

Please do not post your answers (or pictures of the answers) in your logs. If you do, your log will be deleted.
