Geocache Description:

This cache is in a reserve that offers some easy shady walks and the opportunity to reflect on this relic of a vanished community of native plants, from the big old forest giants; totara, kahikatea and matai, to the ferns and seedlings on the forest floor. The largest totara in this reserve is over 800 years old. There are a number of entrances into this forest area.

The cache is on an easy walking, shingled track that ambles through the rain forest. It is tranquil and peaceful and you are able to "listen" to the bird sounds as you walk along this "Pedestrian Only" track.

The GPS coverage is spasmodic because of the tree canopy but you should get enough coverage to take you to the right spot. The cache is 7 metres South-west of a large tree stump that is on the side of the path. It is covered in leaf litter and is invisible at close range.

The cache is a one litre camo-painted, snap-lock type container.
When hidden it contained:
Log book, pen, pencil and sharpener
Police Sticker (ex Dammit)
Soap, shampoo
Helicopter (ex Deception)
Crayons
