Found this webcam (heard a passerby mention it) while looking for
the multicache at today's geocaching picnic at Lake Elizabeth. The
terrain is a 1 but I've made the difficulty higher because you'll
need a friend at home to right click the image and save it once you
get there.
It's a webcam cache! Have a friend at home waiting, or call them on
the phone when you get there, and get a capture of yourself on
cam.
Below is the current picture. You can hit shift-reload to reload
this cache page and get a newer image.
I have exchanged email with park personnel and have been informed
that the cam is intended to run between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. local
time, although sometimes it may go down unexpectedly (this is
apparently rare). Please note that after sunset or before sunrise
you will most likely not be able to get a good picture, so please
visit during daylight hours.
PLEASE NOTE: All logs must have a picture posted with them or I
will delete them. You must have your GPS in hand in the picture and
be close enough that you are recognizable.
6/17/08 ETA: I am trying to contact the park personnel, about
the webcam, which hasn't refreshed since June 8. Until I am able to
reach them, you may simply take a picture in front of the camera
and count it as a log. I will be able to tell if you are in the
right place, so don't try to cheat. If the cam stays down for more
than a reasonable amount of time, I'll disable the cache.
