Geocache Description:

The cache is placed under an artificial structure near crossroads, a steep sloping bank and a stream past the road. It's quite safe, but be sure to wear shoes appropriate for climbing a hill.

This cache is placed near (couple hundred meters, anyway!) a mysterious "skibsætning", which is an array of large stones placed in ancient times ago in the outline of a huge viking ship. The purpose of this contraption is unclear, but may have had ritual significance. The whole area is very interesting! Be sure to visit the historical exhibits in Lejre when you can.

The original Cache was placed by Thomas, Thor and Sonny, but the cache was archived since the owners did not responded, when the cache was missing.

I then took the owner ship of the cache and placed a new cache on the original cache-site on october 17. 2003

The new cache is a plastic box wrapped in a plastic bag.

The original contant is:

Pen
Logbook
Danish Dynamite Sunglasses
Blue Sticky Tape
3.5¨computer disk
Golfball

All the below is the description of the old cache, and is there for historical reasons, and should not be used, in the search for the cache.

The cache itself is a circular tupperware-like container shaped like a UFO, with a black lid. When established, it contained:

1) A wooden propeller key ring
2) A PCMCIA ethernet adapter
3) Digital tyre pressure gauge (with case!)
4) Pair of headphones

This cache had a rough start. No less than two times did the now very red-faced cachers screw up with regards to the all-important coordinates. Last time we referred to and trusted the 4-cm map coordinates from the VISIT2.0 application, which turned out to also be wrong. As an unhappy visitor commented, "We are not amused." Very very sorry. If we ever run into anyone who went in vain, we buy you a nice cold beer, ok? :(

We disabled the cache on the site as soon as we learned by email that it was wrong, and went as quickly as we could the same morning to re-visit the site and re-acquire the coordinates. We photographed the GPS unit (see picture) while literally sitting on top of the cache, so there should be no doubt whatsoever that the coordinates are now correct. Third time's the charm perhaps? :)
