Geocache Description:

Scafell Pike - a cache to peak them all

Scafell Pike - a cache to peak them all

At 3210ft Scafell Pike is England’s highest peak – but you know that already – otherwise you wouldn’t be contemplating this one.

Scafell Pike is located in the Lake District, between Wasdale and Keswick, there are numerous routes up from several different valleys and I wouldn’t recommend any as easy. In good weather the round trip will take you between 4 and 7 hours depending on where you start from and your level of fitness. Unfortunately there are relatively few days of the year when the weather in Wasdale would be described as good.

Do not attempt this cache without some prior experience of fell walking and an understanding of weather conditions - or with out proper preparation and planning.

To claim this cache post a photo of yourself/your GPS/personal item at the coordinates next to the summit cairn. Please feel free to include your route to the top and experiences getting there (and back!).

Good luck!

This is a virtual cache so please complete task when logging if possible. There is no physical container.
