This cache is in the Castalia Quarry Reserve just outside of Castalia on SR 101. Look for the parking lot on the North side of 101; but you enter the trail across the road , Southside of road. Because of the winding trail the GPS will show a shorter to cache distance than the actual walking distance, which is .72 from parking lot. NOTE: When you get to where the trail splits, take the one to the left that says Scenic Trail otherwise you will have to walk around the entire rim, a long walk that's not necessary. There is a observation deck at the top of trail that offers a view of Sandusky Bay and the lake Erie Islands, (on a clear day). A IMPORTANT CAUTION here. The cache is NOT ON CLIFF SIDE of trail.If your GPS is pointing cliffways it is wrong.
