Geocache Description:

Another urban micro

So I’m chowing down a grand slam breakfast, reading this morning’s USA Today (The Nation’s Newspaper), when I come across an article on ‘Geocatching.’ Seems that a new member of Congress, recently appointed to a military oversight committee, has discovered that there is a non-centralized (read anarchist) group of apparent tree-huggers that freely take signals from military satellites. That satellite technology was originally funded to give the military the capability of dropping a bomb into the back pocket of any chosen bad guy. The satellites are $42 million a pop, and there’s a couple dozen of them. The geocatchers take down coordinates, and it is well known that coordinates can be input into missile guidance systems. The geocatchers have been seen near infrastructure: bridge abutments, electrical boxes, and light poles in mall parking lots. The geocatchers have been known to lurk in playgrounds, upsetting an important constituency—stroller pushing mothers. The geocatchers skulk about in the shadows, and clandestinely leave micro placements and secret logbooks. The member of Congress wants to know, ‘What are they hiding?’

Well, go to the coordinates and figure that out. It’s a keybox micro, but think outside of the box. And think about bringing your own pen.
